How Humans WILL Travel To The Stars
Video about space travel ig and like, future stuff ig. Also an ode to Carl Sagan's 1980 mini-series "Cosmos."
I'm salty, cuz I couldn't use some of the music I wanted due to dumb copyright stuff :(
"Space Engine," available for purchase on Steam and the official Space Enginge website, was used to obtain much of the space related footage in this video.

I mean, *technically* you're right that Neptune is an ocean world. It's just that the ocean isn't water, but liquid gasses due to the freezing temperatures and immense pressure.

Space should not be feared space should really be viewed as beautiful, aw-inspiring, amazing, and wonderful. So many moons, planets, stars, solar systems, and galaxies just waiting to be studied up close and visited by us humans some day people should not be scared of space people should be loving space.

Do you know that some people listen to these types of videos while working or asleep? It is inappropriate to use off-the-wall sound effects in your videos. It is not funny. I was listening to this video while sleeping, and the elite's loud sound effects disturbed me and ruined my entire experience with it. Try to keep a consistent theme throughout your video. I am leaving dislike here because I do not enjoy your sense of humor.

I agree with you on everything, except for a few important points. Despite it releasing a year before than CoD 2, CoD: Finest Hour is massively superior on everything from the animations, to the music, to the storytelling. CoD2 was the same thing that CoD 1 did: a bland soundtrack (the CoD 2 main menu music you put in near the opening of the video is absolutely boring and soulless), terrible voice acting for both all of the allies and germans, and a generic main menu and static loading screens. The only advantage it has over Finest Hour are the graphics and some of the callouts for the soldiers. You were also playing with a gore mod which made some significant graphic upgrades and also removed the HUD, which led for the subpar vehicle segments. People are saying that CoD 2 is overshadowed by World At War, but I personally think that CoD 2 overshadows CoD: Finest Hour

I remember being younger (around 6-8yo) in the early 90s and talking to my dad about space travel when we’d sit out on the porch in summer, looking through an old cheap telescope he had gotten me for Christmas. I’d see Saturn and Mars and imagine myself on each planet, taking in the scenery and seeing Earth so far away. We talked about how certain star formations would look and if we’d still be able to tell where the Little and Big Dippers were.. I had all these grandiose dreams in my head about how I would go become an astronaut working for NASA with hopes of being able to take a trip in a spaceship that could go at the speed of light to distant galaxies …. I even drew all these spaceship ideas and imagined how the future attire would be in the 2020s, designing my own fashionable suit to meet new alien creatures in. Definitely took my inspiration from all the old sci-fi movies dad and I would watch. I did this well into my early preteen years where we’d sit and just look up at the stars. I had really high hopes that space travel would be a thing by the time I was in my 30s. I was incredibly naive and wishful. … but I remember my dad talking to me about it all (paraphrasing the conversation, of course) “We won’t ever go beyond. Definitely not in my lifetime unless something major comes along that makes the world think it’s a must. We’d have to be in a war where the race to be the first of something is even considered. It’s why we even bothered with satellites. It’s why we sent our men to the moon. It was because of war and worrying what another country would do first…” Considering how NASA keeps having funding cut every which way by the types of people who think it has to be either / or - “we should focus on people on earth and worry about feeding and taking care of ourselves first before we even bother with outer space” as if we couldn’t ever possibly do both. Instead, we fund wars we’re not directly involved in and continue to ignore our own people while space gets left out in the cold … literally and figuratively. I often think about what my dad talked about. Space exploration is a distant thing for us that will probably only be possible for a few powerful and rich types with the ability to do it, and it won’t be possible unless something threatens our existence to where everyone comes together to make it happen … like receiving a signal from other life from a distant galaxy or something, that’s the only way unless we were involved in a major world war to where an enemy country is trying to be the first to do something with space. Only then will we then see it as something worthy to consider. There’s a lot of ideas put forth that makes it seem like it’s something that will happen (moon bases, for example), but way too many are becoming more and more jaded about the idea of bothering with space, thus politicians not bothering with any funding for it .. again, having an either / or mindset where they think it has to be one or the other getting focus. I guess I’m just pessimistic as I’ve gotten older (just like my dad - he saw the moon landing on TV as a kid sparking his interest in space, then over time just started to have a glass half-empty outlook with all the things going on where it was ignored). With the launch of JWST, I had a small bit of hope rejuvenate those dreams in me that made me feel like a kid again, wishing that humanity could explore in space with all the new discoveries that the telescope may find … but it also dipped just as quick as I continue to see the bullshite we inflict here on earth just in the last few years alone. I feel we are way too consumed with ourselves for it to happen anytime soon, at least in my lifetime. Great video, by the way. I like these topics about space you have covered with the Astrophobia one being a video I downloaded for offline play. My teenaged son gave it a watch on a drive one day and it sparked an interesting discussion between him and I. It was well-written, and I hope to see more videos like this from you in the future.

I was once chilling on my couch when i tried to reach out for the wall behind it without looking, i felt my hand grasp the emptiness as i couldnt touch anything, i looked behind just to see that the wall was only a bit out of reach. At that moment, i felt a heavy feeling in my stomach, like when you reach the highest point in the swings and dont feel gravity pushing you down.

I was genuinely excited to see this movie, the trailers gave me vibes of MW2 with the battles in DC and that's what I thought I was gonna see. A war movie with the backdrop of a second civil war in DC, but what I got was a social commentary about as deep as a kiddie pool. Its one of the movies of all time.

The game is still VERY bare-bones, and there are absolutely no historical events that happen. Russian Revolution? Nope. Scramble for Africa events? Ofc not. WW1(you know, the biggest conflict of the WHOLE FUCKING TIME PERIOD that this game is set in? Nah. You will also be seeing Africa be colonized only in the decentralized areas because no one can bother taking over the centralized nation. And tbh, i cant blame the AI for that one. It takes RIDICULOUS amounts of infamy to take some african provinces., Like, how is Futa Jallon worth the same in infamy as Galicia-Volhynia at the end of the game? Ridiculous game.
